State considering total smoking ban for AC casinos

New Jersey is thinking of doing what Atlantic City has been unable or unwilling to do: impose a total smoking ban on all 11 casinos.

A state senate committee is considering a bill to remove the casino exemption to the statewide smoking ban in public places.

Casino workers and anti-smoking advocates testified Tuesday that dealers and casino floor workers deserve the same protections as any other worker.
