Committee approves 9-4; Denver council passes resolution supporting bill

Colorado is one step closer to banning smoking in most workplaces, including pool halls, restaurants and office buildings.

Despite pleas from owners of small neighborhood bars, the House Health and Human Services Committee voted 9-4 Monday in favor of the ban.

The next step is a debate by the full House.
