Smoking bill may go down in flames

The Denver Democrat who wants to ban smoking at all bars, restaurants and office buildings statewide says he's still short of votes to get his bill out of the Senate.
 
Sen. Dan Grossman said Tuesday that three members of his own party haven't budged on their opposition to the ban, which is scheduled to be debated by the full Senate today. 
 
"It's getting late and at this point the bill either needs to stand on its own or fall," Grossman said.
