Española city councilors may not agree on much, but they agree that smoking in restaurants and other public places shouldn't be allowed.

By a unanimous vote, the Española City Council on Wednesday adopted a resolution supporting a statewide ban on smoking in public places and workplaces. The agenda stated that the council would be taking up a resolution "eliminating smoking in workplaces including restaurants and indoor public places," but the resolution turned out to be a measure supporting the statewide ban already proposed in the Legislature.
