HB2288—(smoking rooms)—An Act creating the Oklahoma Workplace Clean Air Act—Amended and Passed Public Health Committee
This bill prohibits smoking and vaping in all enclosed public places and places of employment, including restaurants, bars, private clubs, hotels/motels, many outdoor public places, outdoor property adjacent to state buildings, and within 25 feet of places where smoking is prohibited. This bill also repeals preemption. Unfortunately, the bill allows an employer to provide smoking rooms where no work is performed, and it exempts enclosed smoking areas at gaming facilities.
