This bill was amended to change the exemption that permits smoking at long term health care facilities by requiring that patient smoking areas only be located outdoors in a courtyard, patio, or other outdoor space that can be monitored by facility staff and is located in an area that reasonably prevents smoke from entering the facility or patient rooms.
